Cleo Daniels, longtime Valley homemaker
Cleo Daniels, a longtime Lewiston-Clarkston Valley homemaker, died Monday at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston from respiratory illness.
She was 75.
She was born April 21, 1923, to Emmett and Jeremiah Harris-Conn in Lake Oswego, Ore. She attended Clarkston public schools and graduated from Clarkston High School in 1941. She attended Washington State University in Pullman for two years.
From 1942 to 1944 she worked for Guy F. Atkins in construction.
She moved to Orofino in 1947 and worked for a time at the Hanson Garage as a bookkeeper.
On April 2, 1955, she married Lyle Daniels at Lewiston. In 1960 she moved to Clarkston.
She was a member of the First Christian Church at Clarkston.
She was devoted to her family and friends and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was known for her sense of humor. She enjoyed traveling.
She helped organize monthly meetings for the class of 1941.
She was also involved in a continuing effort to improve the C on Clarkston hill.
She is survived by her husband at the family home; a daughter, Lynn Aeling of Clarkston; two sons, Kyle Daniels of Boise and Jeff Daniels of Kennewick; and seven grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service at a later date.
